# 12 oz. (375g) icing sugar
# 1 tsp. vanilla essence
# 1 egg, lightly beaten
# jucie of half a lemon
Directions:
# Sift the icing sugar into a bowl then add the ground almonds
# Stir the egg into the almonds and sugar then add the vanilla essence and enough lemon juice to make a stiff dough
# Shape into a ball and knead lightly

Asparagus Salad Recipe 1
Ingredients:
For Dressing
6 tablespoonfuls melted Crisco
1 teaspoonful salt
¼ teaspoonful paprika
Pinch black pepper
1 tablespoonful tarragon vinegar
2 tablespoonfuls cider vinegar
1 tablespoonful chopped cucumber pickles
1 tablespoonful chopped green peppers
1 teaspoonful chopped parsley
1 teaspoonful chopped chives
1 can asparagus or fresh cooked asparagus
Directions :
To prepare this Asparagus Salad Recipe 1, first drain asparagus and chill. Mix salt with paprika, add pepper, tarragon vinegar, cider vinegar, Crisco, pickles, peppers, parsley, and chives, mix well and pour over the asparagus.
